Happy day after Valentines!!! I was reminded in church this morning just how much God loved us!!! He sent his son to die for ME . . . and YOU. . . and each and everyone of us!! I Corinthians 13:1-3 reminds us that without love, we have nothing!!

ReplyDeleteI chose this for obvious reasons. Every day I remember this as I am praying for the kids to make good choices and that God guide them in their ways. Sometimes it is a particularly hard notion with some of the kids that completely get under my skin, but then I think to this verse and breathe a bit easier. Love and peace be with you!
Romans 12:2
ReplyDeleteDo not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.
I chose this verse for a couple of reasons. It is one of the verses my pastor recommended last Sunday in his sermon on patience (and anger). It spoke to me because I am aware of my need for daily renewal of my mind and thought patterns. I slip too easily into those same patterns and only with God's help can my mind be transformed and changed. I love to just meditate on this verse as I am falling asleep and I also repeat the verses I've already learned. I find it helpful to say the reference at both the beginning and the end of the verse. It seals it better in my mind.

This is one of the scriptures the children have to learn for Bible drill, and not one I know, so I am joining them in learning it.
